• Assists legislative staff in conducting research to aide in drafting of:o New legislation o Floor speeches o Constituent responses• Acts as a liaison for constituents and other individuals when visiting the Senator• Coordinates and manages the daily and weekly meeting schedules of three conference areas for all staff• Answers and screens telephone calls for the Senator, creates constituent call reports, and routes calls to appropriate staff member • Ensures that requests for assistance are directed to the appropriate staff member in a timely manner• Provides staff-led tours for constituents and other guests• Controls the Flag Services in the office, manage orders for flags and coordinating their flight and shipment with the U.S. Capitol• Ensure Senator McCain’s prompt arrival at his appointments through my role as his driver• Spearhead additional duties as needed
