Responsible for scheduling and conducting public affairs events both onboard Assault Craft Unit Five, and in the community to include executive briefs, formal and informal tours, reporting and television appearances. Technical knowledge of the mission and equipment , effective public speaking, and people skills are utilized constantly. These public affairs events range from senior U.S. military officers and officials, foreign military and foreign dignitaries, celebrities, local government officials, and various youth groups.

Responsible for management of a 114 acre, $1.5b industrial facility including: flight line, dormitory, offices, hangar bays, maintenance shops, beaches, and protected nature preserves. In addition responsible for tracking and reporting both on and off duty accidents, planning and executing Safety Stand down educational training to insure all personnel have the tools to conduct their daily business in a safe and effective manner.
