I am conducting independent research on the gene expression and enzyme activity of proteases in Carica papaya. Through this position I have learned skills that include executing RT-qPCR, gel electrophoresis, DNA isolation from plant tissue, RNA isolation from plant tissue, performing qubit analysis, conducting bioinformatic analysis, and executing a titrimetric enzymatic activity assay.

Edited the Experience Columbus visitors guide, developed entries for online Ohio travel guide, wrote a story to be published in the Great Lakes Publishing Ohio travel guide

I worked for Gregor Construction every summer and some winters for several years. I learned how to frame, paint, use different types of equipment, and the importance of organization especially in an environment that is prone to disorganization.
