I have worked for the State of Tennessee for 8 years. My positions included Operations Officer and Operations Supervisor. These positions required me to work in the States 24 operations center providing coordination and assistance to local and state governments along with coordinating with Federal agencies. Provided situational awareness to State leadership on incidents and events that occurred int eh state ranging from natural disasters to man-made and technological disasters. These included also dealing with Hazardous materials incidents, search and Rescue and providing information to the State Fusion Center. I was also responsible for supervising personnel on shift and coordinating the opening of the State Emergency Operations Center. I am currently a District Coordinator with the State of Tennessee. I work directly with multiple counties in Middle Tennessee on plans, mitigation, providing training in ICS, Hazardous Materials and Search and Rescue, providing on scene and off scene response, coordination and support during a variety of incidents. Before I worked for the state I was a Volunteer Firefighter where I filled roles ranging from firefighter to assistant chief. I handled training, maintenance, purchasing and on scene response to a variety of incidents. I worked in in industrial Fire fighting for a factory and dealt with fire suppression systems and hazardous materials, medical and fire response. I was also an Infantryman in the United States Army and assigned to an Military Police Company in the Reserves. I participated in Combat Operations in Iraq resulting in the capturing of several High Value targets. I assisted in providing training to Reserve personnel and preparing them for deployment to Iraq, Afghanistan and Cuba for different operational requirements. I was also a TSO with the TSA at Nashville Airport providing checkpoint and baggage screening for flights in and out of the area. I also conducted weekly drills on explosives to test personnel. I was raised in the Scouting program growing up and earned the rank of Eagle at 15. I am a ham radio technician. I have held a Medical license as an Emergency Medical Responder (expired) for 12 years. I attended Motlow State community College for general Education, Middle Tennessee State University for EMT-B and American Military University where I received a Bachelor’s in Emergency and Disaster Management. I do plan to return to school and further my education. I am experienced in using Microsoft products and other applications such as WebEOC, Readyop and SARTOPO to name a few.
