Development of technologies and devices such as Ultrasonic spray nozzles & controls, Medical x-ray cooling controllers, and in 2012 an award winning damper (suspension) temp control system for a 2013 Indianapolis 500 winning Race engineering team.

I started as a consultant and this rewarding work quickly dominated my schedule. Changing the world of dentistry and improving patient outcome was so compelling that I signed on as an employee in 2012 when recruited by the CEO. At Convergent I have worked with a dedicated team where we developed and received the 1st FDA approval for a hard & soft tissue dental laser. My work extends beyond just engineering and R&D. As a technical lead I work with world class dentists showing off, or exploring new, clinical application of our technologies. Work Highlights:, Took lead as system architect for latest product, Proposed & developed improved independent laser energy monitoring & control, Took on early clinical research & development of anesthesia free soft & hard tissue ablation algorithms as well as 1st liaison on carbonate removal research with UCSF, Brought in modeling of laser supply and output power to modeling laser liquid cooling and system cooling solutions. Proposed & augmented system parameter monitoring & control ability. For 1st 6 years as the senior EE performed all circuit development from modeling through PCB design. Designed system functional modules & their network, Embedded system architect, & Designed significantly lower cost laser control system with better deterministic characteristics. Embedded Sys Development - System, hardware and firmware development for industrial, biomed, and consumer electronics industries. Biggest small project: Programmer & design liaison to Hasbro for the electronic game Bopit Extreme (Amazon’s #1 Toy in ‘99 & #1 electronic toy all of toy market 2004 - Unit sales over 10 Million).

Principal engineer/partner - developing embedded systems for communications and security product line. Management of new products development.Was also EE for outsourced consulting services.

Algorithm development & clinical data collection for a beat to beat cardiac monitoring technology.

1) Support of business of pneuomogram analysis, 2) Developed in home tokodynamometry (contractions monitoring), plethysmography (maternal pulse detector), & integrated fetal pulse ultrasound module - 1st to get FDA approval. 3) Designed audio processing electronics supporting NIH Study of SIDS using after birth cry of infants as data.

Part timed while in college doing product documentation formalizing schematics & drafting. Responsible for electronics assy through debug of instruments for psychology. Eliminated 8 month product build and repair backlogs through process streamlining. Assisted with new product development.
