As part of a group of career changers transitioning to teaching. I am developing skills in instructional design, classroom management, learning theory, literacy, and diversity & inclusion. I am licensed to teach Elementary (K - 6).● Prepare and teach lessons that address NJ Student Learning Standards and stimulate student interest with engaging instructional practices. Lessons have been planned and taught in elementary grades 3 and 5. ● Implement classroom management strategies which foster a positive learning environment which includes assertive discipline and lesson modifications that support many different types of learners.● Coordinate and participate in clinical experiences such as coaching, chaperoning, and in-class observations in 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 8th grades. Also taught and guided Saturday enrichment S.T.E.M. courses for elementary and middle school students.● Engage in professional reflection to promote the development of effective teaching practices.
