William BowersI have spent over 40 years identifying and tracking emerging technologies, and then helping organizations strategize when and how to apply them to their current and near-term challenges. I have implemented these solutions from inside the Intelligence Community, as a contractor to government, as a private to public company entrepreneur, and as a business consultant working with large non-profit entities. My roles have included Senior Scientist, Branch Chief, CIO, CTO, COO and CEO for various sized organizations in both the federal and private sectors. I am excited about my latest endeavor working as a Senior Advisor with Diversified Outlook Group Inc. to deliver Strategic Transformation through a unique approach that brings together a diverse mixture of subject matter expertise to focus on specific challenges and opportunities. Every organization today is faced with navigating an overwhelming amount of knowledge, information, tools, products, and technology ranging from Robotic Process Automation to DevOps to Artificial Intelligence to the emerging field of Quantum Computing. By understanding a client’s business objectives, the unique makeup of their existing team, and the state of these various technologies we help clients craft wise strategies around these emerging technologies and trends, so they act as a multiplying force, and X-Factor so to speak, to maximize existing staff, identify new opportunities to disrupt their industry and create new opportunities for product innovation or evolution. We also help organizations understand the psychological, cultural, and organizational aspects of these implementations. I love to learn and especially to help bring cross domain knowledge to bear on high impact challenges. Continuously learning across several fields, while being able draw upon several careers’ worth of wisdom and experience from our team is what keeps me excited every day as we address new, interesting, and challenging projects. Helping clients understand the difference between innovation (developing new and better ways of doing things) and entrepreneurship (activating those innovations into successful business ventures) is an essential part of what we do.Emerging tech is empowering smaller and smaller teams to generate ideas, rapidly create and integrate around those ideas, to test out those ideas, and to monetize those ideas more than ever before in history.
