On behalf of Tax and the Family, I have been producing tables that model the effect of the tax and benefit system on family incomes. The tables enable users to extract a variety of statistics; including the tax liabilities, benefit entitlements and disposable incomes of families of varying characteristics and income distributions. I further analysed the data to find whether families with similar incomes enjoy similar standards of living, and ultimately determine whether the current tax system is fair.
