Ever since an early age I have held a deep love for nature as it played a large part in my youth. This has led me to pursue a degree in environmental sciences at the University of North Texas. During my time studying at the university, I am looking to expand my credentials as an environmental scientist through an internship of related work. Over the time I have spent studying at the University of North Texas, I have further developed my critical thinking skills and ability to learn challenging new information through courses such as Biology (BIOL 1710) and Environmental and Societal Philosophy (PHIL 2500). Being passionate about our environment has given me a drive to pursue a cleaner Earth with an ideology of working hard to make it happen. Skills I have developed in past work experience include: Time management and efficiency through the scheduling and positioning of employees. Complex problem solving under stressful conditions such as responding to medical emergencies and providing first-aid. Critical thinking to produce beneficial outcomes with multi-step tasks. Attention to detail while maintaining a big-picture view with not only company goals, but my own personal work ethic. My goals as an environmental scientist are to help create new innovative technologies that will help reduce and improve the Earth’s worsening climate, as well as fostering in a new wave of scientists who understand the importance of our environment. Our Earth provides us with many blessings, I believe it is our responsibility to take care of them. I am always looking to create new connections with professionals within the field of ecology to grow my understanding of science.
