With over 30 years of experience, Bill brings his knowledge of geology, hydrogeology and engineering geology to every project he's involved in. As a recognized expert in soil and groundwater remediation technologies, Bill has successfully investigated and remediated sites ranging from neighborhood gasoline stations and dry cleaners to tank farms, refineries and chemical processing facilities. His engineering geology expertise extends to the investigation and remediation of landslides, particularly around the shorelines of Puget Sound in Washington State as well as mine and mine hazard evaluations.In addition to acting Principal at Insight Geologic, Inc. in Olympia, Washington, Bill is using his technical expertise as a hydrogeologist, working with Engineers Without Borders to bring clean drinking water to villages in rural Kenya. He is a certified hydrogeologist in Kenya and will be returning to southwest Kenya in 2015 to establish groundwater monitoring points so that this precious resource can be monitored and evaluated. He is looking for other opportunities to use his expertise in groundwater development in central and eastern Africa.Specialties: Hydrogeology and groundwater modeling (MODFLOW), salt-water intrusion, water quality, engineering geology and slope stability evaluation (Slide 2.0), environmental investigation and remediation (petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, pesticides, metals).
