This additional leadership role included all of the below activities outlined below for the Consumer Power Tools new product development. With this addition, I now have new product development technical responsibility for the entire global Consumer Products Group division within Stanley Black & Decker. Product category leadership responsibility added: AC & DC Vacuums, Steam Products, Robotic Vacuums, and other products for the consumer global markets. Technical team leadership outlined below grew from 300 to 350 associates.

Professional and Consumer Outdoor Power Equipment :2013 to PresentIn addition to the below responsibilities for Consumer Power Tools and Products, I assumed responsibility for all global new product development and product life cycle for the Professional and Consumer Outdoor Power Equipment Strategic Business Unit for the DeWalt and Black & Decker brands. This additional leadership role included all of the below activities outlined below for the Consumer Power Tools new product development.Product category leadership responsibility added: AC & DC String Trimmers, Hedge Trimmers, Blower/Vacs, Mowers, and other products for both the consumer and professional global markets. Technical team leadership outlined below grew from 250 to 300 associates.

Consumer Power Tools and Products:Responsible for all global new product development and product life cycle for the Consumer Power Tool SBU, encompassing the Black & Decker, Porter-Cable, Stanley, and Stanly FatMax brands sold in the global markets. This includes leadership of Product Road development and strategies for these bands to achieve or exceed the corporate financial objectives for profitability and global market growth in the Consumer Power Tool SBU.Develop, lead, and revise the Innovation Ideation and Technical Market Insight process for the global markets, including verification of concept and transition into the new product development process to augment the global product road to energize and provide a competitive advantage for all of the above brands in all global markets.Establish, lead, and evolve the global product development process to increase efficiency and accuracy for the evolving global markets, and design and production capabilities. Provide leadership, training, and career development for a divers team of over 250 engineers and technical support associates located in multiple global regions including the Unites States, Canada, Europe, Hong Kong, and China. These activities include current and future Global Design Center establishment.

Consumer Power Tools and Accessories:Provided global technical and product category leadership for Drills and Hammer Drills, Circular Saws, Sanders, Grinders, and D/C Outdoor Products including product road development and planning.Lead multiple cross functional project teams to achieve successful global product range market launches, maintaining or exceeding program deliverables in relation to delivery speed, product quality and reliability, and financial expectations.Provide leadership, training, and career development for direct report Program Managers, Project and Development engineers, and technical associates in multiple disciples and located in multiple global regions.

DeWalt - Professional Power Tools:Growth through multiple positions with increasing levels of product development responsibility.Coordinate and interface with cross functional team members including marketing, manufacturing, sourcing, and suppliers. Responsible for project scheduling and critical path management, product layout and designs including all calculations for dimensional process stability, gearing, bearing loads, etc.Responsible for all aspects of new product implementation to production including test qualification, manufacturing process and quality verification, and cost.Managed career development and training for direct report engineers and designers.

Black & Decker - Professional Power ToolsGrowth through multiple positions with increasing levels of product development responsibility.Responsible for full unit and assembly design layouts, mechanism designs, prototype design and construction, tolerance stack-ups, and geometric tolerance system application.Detail Component design and material selection for multiple manufacturing processes including: plastic injection molding, sheet metal stampings, die castings, powder metal, steel machining, metal injection molding, investment casting, and others.
