Processes, planning, efficiencies. Smooth operator.Insurance claims, quality assurance, client care, retentions, collections and group schemes. What do all of these roles have in common? They fall firmly into my portfolio as chief operating officer of King Price Life. As COO, I relish the challenge of executing the strategic processes that keep our business running smoothly from day-to-day, position us for future growth, and keep our people – clients, colleagues, and partners – happy. My role is all about processes, planning, and making sure that all the moving parts are well-oiled and optimised. It’s about implementing controls, increasing efficiencies, and ensuring that all the components fit, and work, together. It’s something that I’ve been supporting the business with since being promoted into the COO position in 2019, and it’s something that my team and I are absolutely passionate about. With a career that’s been focused almost exclusively on providing financial services – banking to start with, and then insurance – I have first-hand, hands-on experience across the value-chain, from claims, to compliance, product development and systems. Bringing all of these operations, and more, together into a cohesive, client-centric, process-led whole… Well, that’s what gets me out of bed in the morning.
