As a horse wrangler for two summers I was in charge of leading ranch guests on two hour horse back rides through the Grand Teton National Park. When not giving rides the wranglers did various manual labor jobs such as fence repair, haying, firewood collection, trail upkeep, wood chopping, painting, staining, and grounds keeping. As a wrangler, I also assisted the Head Wrangler with maintaining the well-being of 85 horses throughout the summer season, by feeding, cleaning, repairing horseshoes, and nursing injuries.

As the farm hand I assisted the head farmer, Adam Bunch, with cultivation of crops such as watermelons, cantaloupes, tomatoes, green beans, and cucumbers. Through this experience I gained industry knowledge on the selling, packaging and distribution of the numerous crops that were harvested.

As a summer intern I got the opportunity to work closely with board members, sports directors and commissioners while gaining experience in event management and other athletic association duties. I was able to gain personal experience in statewide events, tournament preparation, officiating and other special projects within the NCHSAA.

For two summers I was able to be a part of the Edenton Steamers game day staff. As a game day staff member I assisted with concession sales, advertising, raffle ticket sales and assisted fans and staff with promotional events. In addition I also collaborated with staff on game day preparations such as field preparations and ballpark set up.
