My responsibilities included, but were not limited to, assisting members at the gym and answering their questions as well as ensuring that they feel supported on the floor. I would give proper advice on how to use the equipment as well as answer basic questions on fitness and diet. I developed connections with members on the floor both adult and teenager. It genuinely was a time to be open and get to know the members needs as well as the teenagers needs in the gym as well.

The second summer I worked at the summer camp called Camp Berea. I was on the same specialty, Summer Event Team, again and had similar roles and duties. The biggest change from the summer before was our tasks primarily being focused on stage events and elements. I took part in developing skits and games to play on stage and also off stage throughout the week. I also was in charge of gathering campers together for meals and some of the big games as well as being on the mic during meal times. Besides the games and stage elements, I had a lot of experience and interaction with children and teenagers of all backgrounds throughout the summer. From checking in on campers, asking about their days, and even having one on one talks with campers, this summer was full of many experiences.

During the summer of 2021, I was apart of the summer event team along with three other members. My responsibilities revolved around setting up events, facilitating events, as well as assisting other staff members in their daily needs. Mainly, we worked together in brainstorming the games that would take place throughout the whole summer. It was a challenging experience in some ways as the job had a lot to do with being on stage in front of others. However, as a summer event team member, we had the liberty to reach out to any of the 300 campers that would attend camp each week. Developing connections with campers was one of the greatest blessings along with the other staff members. Summer Event Team had a lot to do with making sure no campers were left out and making sure campers always had someone to talk to or something to do.

I worked at the Campus Kinderhaus as a teachers aid. I aided the teacher in gathering the children as well as helping out with basic functions like cleaning and checking in on the kids. I aided children if they had a hard time falling asleep during the napping times and spent time interacting with the children in the class like drawing pictures, playing outdoor games, and helping gather their attentions during reading and lessons.
