Physiotherapy BSc (Hons) 1st - Coventry University. MCSP. MAACP. HCPC. FCP.I gained university experience working in; Stroke rehabilitation, MSK outpatients, Trauma, Major Trauma, Gastrointesinal/medical wards, elective orthopaedics and thoracic surgery/ITU. I worked in numerous hospitals from London to the midlands. Following graduation I worked as a band 5 and 6 physiotherapist for Dudley NHS Foundation Trust and experienced working in vascular surgery, amuptees, acute stroke and orthopaedic rehabilitation. I had experience at a senior level in MSK Outpatients, critical care and high dependancy care. I found my specialism in MSK outpatients - chronic pain management particularly. One year in to this I was redeployed throughout the coronavirus pandemic in order to manage our response on intensive care units, high dependency areas and COVID wards as a senior respiratory physiotherapist. My team and I covered the hospital on a 'bleep' basis - this was predominantly paediatrics and emergency settings. We also covered the whole hospital on an 'on call' basis. I returned to MSK to finish my time at Russells Hall, working in pain management, rheumatology clinics (axial spondyloarthropathy clinic), fracture clinics, hydrotherapy and general MSK clinics. I also gained extensive experience in MSK private practice. I have furthered my practice by working in primary care as a first contact practitioner. I have worked in numerous GP surgeries doing so. I am becoming self competent in radiological and bloods referral. I take a great interest in sport. I competitively play Squash, Tennis and Hockey. Also enjoying casual Football with work colleagues. I love hiking mountain biking and skiing. I am so grateful to live in the UK for the amazing national parks which provide great hiking. I am always looking at furthering myself and have recently completed a RYA sailing course and an open water diving PADI course.My career as a physiotherapist has evolved towards a pivotal role as a First Contact Practitioner. This position leverages my competencies in diagnostics and clinical management, honed through previous experiences managing complex cases in both the NHS and private sectors.At the heart of my practice is a commitment to quality of care, reflected in my adeptness at managing acute and chronic conditions and facilitating patients' journeys towards recovery. My expertise extends to implementing innovative service solutions and fostering an environment of clinical excellence within the teams I collaborate with.
