Came into Utica Mutual as a PIP adjuster specifically for the purpose of winding down the pip files in the Jericho office and preparing them for transfer to the home office in Utica New York. Each file was reviewed and determined if it should be closed, wound down in the next few months, or transferred. Files to be transferred were summarized and given a plan of action for the new adjuster to handle. Once all pip files were transferred I handled auto damage claims and became the PIC at times of supervisor absence. As PIC I delegated work loads, provided guidance to adjusters and attended meeting to take notes as needed. I was later promoted to bodily injury adjuster, a position I held for about 6 years. As a bodily injury adjuster I investigated and settled both litigated and non-litigated claims.
