In 2009 hWilliam graduated from the Royal College of Music, having studied under professors Jerome Pernoo and Helen Dautry. Following this, he undertook a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in the class of Louise Hopkins, and was awarded a distinction upon completion of this degree in 2011. Other musical influences include Frans Helmerson, Arto Noras, and Natalya Gutmann.His solo engagements have included performances in England, France, and the USA, and he has appeared at major chamber music festivals including the 2011 Salzburg Kammermusik Festival, the BBC Proms 2011, and the Queille Festival, France, in collaboration with the Badke Quartet and pianist Simon Crawford-Phillips. William is a founding member of the London-based Ristov Piano Quartet and the Geminiani String Quartet, and his performances with these groups have taken him to Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia, the USA, Portugal, France, and Austria. In addition to his considerable experience as a chamber musician, William enjoys orchestral performance. In 2008, William was invited to be the principal cellist for the orchestra of the Festival des Graves in France, conducted by Maxim Vengerov. He participated in the 80th Birthday Celebration Concert for Sir Colin Davis, and was chosen to undertake the 2010 London Symphony Orchestra String Experience Scheme. William has a keen interest in contemporary music, and has given world premiere performances of works by composers such as Yann Robin, Francois Rossé and Pascal Dusapin. Recently William has been involved as principal cello for the new version of "l'Enfant et les Sortilèges" by Maurice Ravel arranged by Didier Puntos at the Aix en Provence Festival 2012.
