As an Operations Manager, I built and maintain a positive ongoing relationship with our client as well as our contracted carriers. I manage the daily operations of our deliveries to provide efficient and excellent customer service. This includes routing, overseeing dispatch, and truck returns. I am the market leader for GL and Auto claims investigation and resolution. I am the liaison between the client, carriers, and last mile customers; resolving and negotiating merchandise and property claims as well as any complaints in a timely manner. I am responsible for overseeing accurate contractor settlements, achieving KPI goals with contractors and employees, as well as managing the business within budget guidelines and meeting P&L goals.

As the Delivery & Receiving manager, I was responsible for all aspects of the home delivery operation for my location. Ensuring that all home delivery information was scheduled and relayed to delivery carriers, as well as following up with customer issues, missed deliveries, returns, and complaints. I was the leader for investigating and resolving claims with company employees and 3rd party deliveries. I scheduled box truck and flatbed deliveries, and made sure they were pulled and prepared accurately and correctly. Received special order items and ensured prompt delivery and service. Responsible for maintenance and safety records and schedules for company vehicles. I supervised and scheduled my direct reports, and was responsible for my department's budget and inventory accuracy. I also reviewed and verified all billing from third party companies.

At the furniture distribution center I managed the warehouse, inventory and quality control, delivery truck returns, re-delivery, and the repair shop area. I was responsible for safety and training for all warehouse personnel. I was responsible for supervising 18 direct reports, the daily warehouse operations, and controlling the truck check-in process. With the shop personnel I would verify and inspect outbound loads for customer delivery. I would check in all trucks, verifying returns and merchandise counts. Managed inventory through regular cycle counts, and worked within budget to achieve all P&L goals.

As the store manager of the furniture clearance center, I was responsible for the sales, inventory, customer service, and financial P&L for the store. I opened and closed the store, achieved increased sales year over year, as well as achieving budgeted sales goals every year I was the manager.
