We have additional practice areas in Veterans Administration claims, Social Security Disability claims, personal injury, and family law. Provide client-oriented legal services out of our offices located on Flagstaff and Cottonwood, Arizona.

Associate attorney at the law firm I clerked for during my 1L and 2L summers. Litigated a variety of cases including insurance liability, medical malpractice defense, tort liability, real property disputes, and breach of contract claims. Provided general counsel to businesses and start-ups in the Verde Valley. Assisted business clients with labor-employment issues, contract negotiations, domestic and international trademarks, and business growth/development. Advised clients by performing a number of legal research tasks in novel areas of law, including conflicts of law between competing federal, state and tribal jurisdictions. Furthermore, as city attorneys for the City of Bisbee, I litigated both civil and criminal infractions on behalf of the city. I also drafted procurement contracts and city ordinances as well as advised city officials on legal issues that covered the First Amendment, public records requests, and eminent domain.

Worked directly with attorneys on various legal issues including breach of contract, malpractice defense, insurance defense, personal injury, estate planning, and business transactions. Researched legal issues and drafted office memoranda. Drafted legal documents for court proceedings including the following: motion for summary judgment, answer and counterclaim, and initial disclosures. Drafted contracts for a ground lease and corporate merger. Analyzed and summarized voluminous medical records. Interacted with clients.

Responsible for the production of the Journal, by taking articles from manuscript to final publication. Supervise the Managing Editing Department, which is comprised of twenty-eight Managing Editors and Associate Editors. Evaluated the work performed by Managing Editors and Associate Editors. Coordinated the work of the Managing Editing Department with other Journal departments to maintain the Journal's publication schedule. Oversaw and performed final article edits. Maintained, updated, and taught the Arizona Journal of Environmental Law & Policy Style Manual.

Collaborated with the instructor and fellow TAs on lesson plans. Assisted students with key learning objectives and course projects; grade exams and assignments.

Provided direct legal services to low-wage workers in the Tucson area. Conducted initial intake and follow-up interviews with clients. Counseled and advised clients on their legal options. Represented clients in negotiations with their former employers, and presented a client's case in front of an administrative law judge. Designed and implemented a community outreach presentation, which educated low-wage workers on their employment rights and self-advocacy. Researched Arizona's Paid Sick Leave law and identified avenues for advocacy.

Every three years non-profit hospitals are federally mandated to complete a Community Health Needs Assessment. Interviewed community leaders and health care partners to investigate and diagnose critical health issues, determine solutions. Mobilized and sustained health coalitions between Winslow residents. Collected and analyzed quantitative data to monitor trends in Winslow residents’ health status. Developed, distributed and reported findings of Winslow residents’ health survey. Informed the public of critical health issues by publishing findings of completed assessment.

Collaborated with instructor and fellow TAs on lesson plans and led class of 220 students (freshmen to senior) in hour-long lectures. Developed online course components; graded exams and assignments.

Worked directly with partners on project proposals; set and executed department goals for 10-member settlements team. Drafted and reviewed legal documents such as motions in limine, depositions and co- worker affidavits; reviewed medical records, including pathology and autopsy records. Analyzed office productivity.
