Middle School At Parkside - Jackson Public Schools

Directed the education of 1000+ students in grades 6, 7, and 8, and oversaw the safety and suitability of the environment in which they learned. Provided management to 65 teachers as well as the support staff, and oversaw the general curriculum, budget administration, the physical facilities, and the coordination of all daily operations.

Primary accountability for student class scheduling for grades 7 and 8. Led the school improvement process, and stepped in for the Principal for Instruction in his absence. Handled new student orientation. Worked closely with students and parents regarding student progress, problems, and challenges.

Served as the building Principal, with responsibility for supervision of over 250 students, with 90% of the population considered at-risk, and 100% receiving free lunch. Facilitated PTO meetings. Oversaw the SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT TEAM and the BUILDING COMMITTEE.
