Another church that serves beyond the walls a diverse population in North Medford. Mary and I are now serving together in ministry and finding our way to the future God intends for this congregation.

A small but mighty congregation of flexible, open-hearted folks with mission vision who share their very functional building with other churches and with community service agencies of all kinds. We became more diverse as the years progressed, and chose to become open and affirming during my tenure as pastor. We experimented often with creative worship and new music and we went outside the walls often to meet people where they are. The church has a very inclusive global vision. This was a wonderful thirteen years of ministry that I remember with great pride and joy..

Led the region in developing resources for new church ministries in Arizona including raising $1.2 M in capital funds and guiding the region in its selection of a Regional Hispanic Pastor and of a new church planter in North Scottsdale. Responsibilities included demographic studies and strategic planning for planting churches in underserved areas in Maricopa County, identifying property options in North Scottsdale for Coolwater Christian Church and also in Southeast Valley for Chalice Christian Church. I relinquished this position for a parish ministry in Mesa but remained active in a voluntary role as chair of the New Church Ministry Team in Arizona through 2013.

Came from California to plant a new church in Tucson. Wow, that was fun, and a ton of hard work. Many good friendships that persist beyond our fourteen year tenure there... Shalom !.
