Depending on which positions needed help on a week-by-week basis, I filled the role of either Camp Counselor or Cafeteria Staff. As a counselor, I acted as an authority figure to the campers who were in my cabin for that week of camp. I led them in various outdoor activities and games and prioritized their safety above all throughout their week at camp. As a cafeteria worker, I assisted in cooking multiple meals per day and serving food to the campers and staff. I took part in thorough cleaning of cooking equipment, dishes, and silverware, and otherwise keeping all parts of the kitchen and cafeteria up to health code standards. I also assisted in stocking frozen/refrigerated and non-frozen/refrigerated food items when they were delivered to our location.
