At ArcVera, we provide finance grade commercial and technical services for wind and solar energy projects. As a Renewable Energy Analyst, I perform Wind Energy Resource Assessments that analysis wind and other climate data and predict wind farm energy production. I also monitor onsite meteorological towers and provide reports on how the measuring equipment is performing. I also perform Operational Backcast Energy Assessments that determine if a wind farm is performing as predicted.

At ArcVera, I help our clients by monitoring meteorological towers throughout the United States and perform monthly wind resource assessments for those towers.

I am Master's of the Environment student at University of Colorado Boulder focusing on Renewable and Sustainable Energy. This program provides a pragmatic, rigorous, and interdisciplinary understanding of energy from three perspectives: science and technology, policy, and business.

As an Energy Engineer with Lilker EMO Energy Solutions I was tasked with completing energy audits on multifamily buildings, complete Enterprise Green Communities projects, and Energy Star projects. I used TREAT and REM/Rate to model different buildings to determine energy consumption and code compliance. I developed property specific energy conservation measures and calculate the energy savings for each measure.

I manage a team of 10 Energy Analyst to make sure all department assignments are completed. The BIM Department completes client modeling requests, provide our clients with REM/Rate reports and permits, and analyse houses after they are built to determine if the house will pass energy codes, Energy Star, and qualify for other rebate programs. The BIM Department also creates monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports for our clients to let them know how their houses are doing.

As an Energy Analyst I had to complete all BIM Department assignments and provide feedback to my manager of issues that I have been coming across. I would also provide solutions for these issues to my manager.

Thesis - Assisting the Development Phase of Community Scale Wind Turbine on Tangier IslandThe purpose of this study was to aid in the development phase for the construction of a wind turbine on the island of Tangier, Virginia. Our group worked directly with Sustainable Energy Development, Inc. and assisted them with the various steps in siting the turbine, wind resource analysis, avian study, and public outreach to the island community. The specific community scale turbine is called a Northwind 100, and is rated with a nameplate generation capacity of 100 kW, with a turbine size of 37m height and 21m rotor. This turbine aims to reduce the electrical power consumption of the tiny island of Tangier—hopefully promoting the idea of renewable energy in this small fishing community to eventually lead to the construction of more or larger turbines.My team used data collected from a MET tower on Port Isobel to analyse the wind resource for the Tangier Island region of the Chesapeake Bay. Using the wind data collected and the power curve of the Northwind 100 turbine we were able to determine that the turbine could produce roughly 300 MWh/yr and have a capacity factor of 34.2%
