Used to working internationally at the highest levels, with extensive experience in defence and security development programs, William has worked in an advisory capacity for a number of military and security forces. William served 10 years as a Senior Non Commissioned officer in the British Army during which he specialised in Jungle warfare and counter terrorism. During William’s Military career he served multiple operational tours in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Iraq & Sierra Leone. William was awarded for his actions during a particular incident in Iraq in 2005 where he apprehended and detained a road side bombing team North of Baghdad during the height of the insurgency. This ultimately led to the saving of considerable coalition lives. William has worked extensively with the U.S Department of State in Southern Sudan on Security Sector Reform and Defence Transformation. During the past couple of years William has been involved again in Iraq specifically working on U.S DoS contracts and providing auditing and implementing corrective action measures to USAID’s Implementing partners Security Providers and working closely with the U.S. Office Inspector General department. Basra Iraq

• As the Provincial Security Officer was responsible for a 550 strong security team in multiple locations. • Developed and delivered security training doctrine for local guard force and expatriate personnel. Planned and implemented leave rotations, travel, pay and administrative duties. • Created safety and security procedures for places of work, residential compounds and movements of key personnel in areas of high risk of terrorist attack.

Afghanistan

• Was responsible for the security and safety of all election observers during the 2009 Afghanistan Elections. • Designed and rehearsed provincial & country evacuation,casualty and medical plans. • Designed and delivered a comprehensive hostile environment training package for all observers.

Southern Sudan

• Worked extensively with the Government of Southern Sudan on security sector reform and defence transformation. • Liaising with Southern Sudan Government Officials on key project deliverables and performance• Designed and implemented a security programme for TOTAL Oil in Abeyi. • Designed and implemented a logistics chain from East to Central Africa.
