Ipm Supervisor
Current● As IPM Supervisor, I routinely analyze and assess pest presence and pressure in all cultivation areas and determine action plans to reduce pest populations, keeping them beneath the economic threshold. ● I create and supply all the team’s IPM legal forms, spreadsheets, documents, facility maps, pics, videos, and perform PowerPoint presentations for training purposes.● I train and supervise a team of IPM Technicians to scout and report on their designated areas, applying horticultural sprays, drenches and biological beneficials as needed, according to my prescribed action plans.● I provide leadership, guidance, scheduling, and payroll oversight for my IPM team.● I make sure that my team is fully trained on cross-contamination and always wears appropriate PPE for all duties that require it.● I balance the use of sprays, drenches and biological beneficials into a strategic IPM plan that is both cost effective and contaminant free.● I manage the timely and accurate documentation of pesticide applications and scouting reports, submitted by my team, as well as ensuring that proper posting of pesticide applications with REI information are clearly displayed at the entry of treated areas.● I regularly work with department management, maintenance, and fertigation, communicating daily game plans, crop deficiencies or room issues to the appropriate authority.● I oversee the routine maintenance of all IPM equipment, keeping everything clean, stocked and in good working order to ensure optimum functionality.● I maintain the fully stocked inventory and safe storage of all products and supplies for the IPM department, with appropriate signage clearly displayed, with our MSDS book always updated and compliant.● I am continuously researching peer reviewed studies, novel innovations and cutting-edge techniques involving IPM, Cannabis and entomology.
