Worked full-time during the summer and part-time during the semester (over 700 hours total) on the Carney lab's ongoing synthesis project. Researched, executed, and optimized several reactions in the planned sequence, ultimately collecting publishable NMR data for four novel compounds. Experienced with common organic lab methods such as Schlenk line techniques, distillation, liquid/liquid extraction, rotary evaporation, thin-layer chromatography, flash column chromatography, and proton NMR.

Worked in a commercial kitchen and fed 150-500 people three meals a day for six weeks over three summers (over 1000 hours total). Assumed a leadership role in recent years, planning and organizing the workflow and directing staff to implement it effectively.
