About William Kingi

A music teacher by trade, with just over 4.5 years of teaching experience, I'm now entering the field of community outreach within the arts. Having taught in South Auckland, Otara (my hometown), and Shanghai, China, I've learned that no matter where you are in the world teaching is incredibly rewarding, but immensely challenging. While I no longer teach in a formal setting, the work I do now still allows me to work with closely with schools, but also wider communities. In my current role, I work closely with brass players who are deeply passionate about what they do. I get to help bring their work to larger audience, but also share the South Auckland 'tikanga' with communities outside of Auckland and abroad. To be around people who believe that music is meaningful is incredibly special, and I'm thankful that I have the privilege of serving the brass community, helping them bring next year's NZ Brass Championships to South Auckland.

Listed skills include Teaching, Data Entry, Administration, Critical Thinking, and 6 others.
