Work exclusively with members in the Substation Design and Engineering Department to assist in the streamlining of electrical substation circuit diagrams from an old format to the new format. The main scope of this project is to fact check equipment attributes and circuit connectivity to ensure it is accurate and in compliance with the updated regulations. This includes following existing and updated standards for design, as well as amending all documents affected by current and new construction projects within a substation in order to provide an "as-built" working schematic for every substation operated by Xcel Energy and its subsidiaries. This information plays a major role in defining the substation facility ratings and determining the extent of the workload that can be placed on each substation. I also assist the Substation Control Design Deparment in completing field revisions by utilizing the Microstation software to update drawings which will reflect completed projects as they occur.

Handle incoming calls from potential clients and assist in locating correct product for their vehicle as well as assisting in the process of filing insurance claims and scheduling for completion. Pursue proper authorization from insurance providers for specialty parts and order from dealerships to coordinated locations to perform glass replacement in a timely manner. Make cold calls to sell additional glass services to body shop clients.

Participated in relief effort in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina (August 2005); Managed crew to perform right-of-way maintenance duties for transmission and distribution lines utilizing special equipment to perform tasks (climbing gear, bucket trucks, chain saws, roping and rigging techniques including pullys / block and tackle / ratchets / throw ball); Contact property owners in person to educate them on the necessity and methods of proper right-of-way clearance; schedule right-of-way maintenance on cutomer property and coordinate with crews on proper methods for each job site (special instructions and/or conditions, flagging operations for traffic control); perform emergency storm damage clearance as needed to restore utilities to customers.

Utilized machinery such as lathes, drill presses, and larger industrial saws to produce ductile iron water pipe to customer specifications; Managed and tracked production work sheets
