I am a 3rd-year mechanical engineering major at the University of Cincinnati. I have a passion for learning about all things STEM-related, and my professional goal is to innovate to push the boundaries of what is possible in my industry.During the summer of 2022, after my freshman year of college, I interned at 3db-Labs, a signal processing military contractor. There, I designed the internal foam layout of SBK and Pelican cases that 3db used to ship their laptops and other radio equipment to their customers. I also 3D printed internal tools and collaborated with senior engineers to 3D print a prototype for a new antenna mount. For my first official co-op with UC’s College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, I worked with Clippard, an expert in manufacturing miniature valves for the industrial and medical science industries. I joined the New Product Development team, where I designed the electrical system and wrote Arduino code to power a new life testing device for a new electronic pinch valve design. I then used the new life tester to perform lifecycle validation testing on a design change made to the valve.I am currently in my second co-op rotation with Clippard, where I work on their Applications Engineering team. In this role, I collaborate with senior engineers to customize Clippard’s current product for specific customer applications. My job involves close cooperation with clients to modify or redesign products to meet their unique requirements.STEM Interests:• Rockets • Space• Robotics• Electronics• Signal processing• Fluid-powered mechanisms• Mechatronic systems
