Subject Matter Expert in Air Defense, Principle Manager and lead instructor for New Equipment Training. Provides Subject Matter Expertise, technical advisement, and technical writing for the development, verification and validation of the technical manual, pocket guides and other programmatic documentation. Reviews, and evaluates curriculum, tests, risk management documents for updates and to improve the course of instruction based on user input and test results. Master Gunnery Sergeant

Serve as the Program Analyst and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) development and sustainment programs. Supervise 2 Logistics Analysts and 2 Engineers, and manages the coordination and direction of external activities in support of assigned projects ensuring assigned tasks are executed in a timely manner to support GBAD efforts. Responsible for the lifecycle planning and execution of the Stinger Missile Improved Moving Target Simulator modernization; the coordination with the U.S. Army for a joint-Service Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) for the Stinger Missile; the joint effort to replace the aging Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) equipment; the management of an aerial target support contract; support for all United States Marine Corps (USMC) Stinger Missile live fire training events; and the lifecycle sustainment of all legacy Stinger Missile Ground Support Equipment (GSE). Provide insight and perspective for the redesign of the Advance Man-Portable Air Defense System (AMANPADS), Fire Unit and Section Leader Vehicles, and redesign of the Stinger Thermal Weapon Sight. Coordinate activities across various MCSC program offices to ensure timely execution and delivery of assets/equipment to support on-going Low Altitude Air Defense (LAAD) vehicle modernization efforts.

Served as the Senior Enlisted SME, Operation Chief and Training Chief for an Air Defense Battalion (BN) of more than 300 personnel. Provided expert opinion on capabilities, limitation, requirements, availability and employment of resources to the BN Commanding Officer and Operations Officer. Executed all actions of Commander’s defined goals and objectives. Initiated coordination of staff section to ensure opportune course of actions were formulated and delivered, resulting in leadership ability to make timely decisions for resource allocation, employment of assets and personnel management. Led, mentored and directly supervised a staff section of 10 personnel. Responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of daily operations and training for over 300 personnel. Ensured operational and training readiness of the organization was at or exceeded the required benchmarks. Developed, organized, and executed long and short term operational and training plans and schedules. Responsible and accountable for more than 600 pieces of equipment and Training Simulators exceeding $15 million dollar in value. Prepared, reviewed, published and processed staff documentation, such as, standard operating procedures, logistic support requests, training plans and after action summaries. Conducted staff inspections to determine conditions of subordinate personnel ensuring 100% compliance, conformity and operational readiness

Selected, by name, to serve as the LAAD SME and instructor for the USMC premiere graduate level weapons, tactics and instructors’ course. Principal instructor for all GBAD course training, mentoring and evaluating of up to 9 students during a 7 week course of instruction, providing classroom instruction and hands on field practical application. Lead syllabus sponsor responsible for the maintenance, research, and development of Marine Corps Training and Readiness manual and doctrinal publication for the Air Defense community.
