The newly reopened Britannia Hotel is a large, classic city residence, known as the world’s most Northerly ‘Grande Dame’ Hotel. A uniquely designed and curated hotel, staffed with heritage, style and vision. An exciting venue, a meeting place for all generations, a place for pleasure and the creation of lasting memories – A House of Influence.I was an integral part of the re-opening team, which saw the hotel open its doors in April 2019, following a $160m, top-to-toe, full refurbishment. It was the largest hospitality renovation ever undertaken in Scandinavia, the scale reflective of the hotel’s prestigious 153 year history. I was originally brought on as the hotel’s ‘storyteller’, a role which respond to the market’s thirst for creative methods to tell stories around the provider’s services. And what a rich pool of material I have to work with! Since opening, we have been showered with accolades and awards for our hotel, six bars and restaurants, spa & fitness section, and banquet & conference facilities. We achieved our first Michelin star in February 2020, and were awarded Best Hotel Breakfast in Norway in 2022 and 2023. I create, curate and collate multimedia content for the hotel and its independent concepts. I handle press tours from across the world and I manage the various communication and social media channels.In 2020 I project managed and edited a luxuriously bound coffee table book, to celebrate the hotel’s 150th anniversary. - I conceived of the idea, built a team and launched a new communication channel - The List Media AS- The List Media AS includes the publications; The List Trondheim (quarterly), Tech List, and partner project Mirakel.- As Editor-in-Chief I manage all finances, budgeting and business development. Including partnerships and sponsorships. - A big part of my job consists of building the team and partnerships, and daily team management. - Develop themes, stories, special editions. Dealing with sources and editing daily.- Utilise instant media channels and more traditional ‘delayed gratification’ avenues.- Excellent results in sales and advertising revenue.

- Headhunted from university to launch Ten Group eco-initiative, with London Mayor’s Office.- Responsible for developing profile and networking service to London communities.- Hosted presentations and managed events.- Weekly blog and customer case studies for website, plus other written marketing material.- Responded to public enquiries, including liaising with journalists.- Delivered stakeholder expectations in a marketing environment.- Use of internal database to store new, prospective and existing customers’ details.- Key achievement: responsible for partnering Green Homes and Camden Council over the ‘Camden - Eco House Project’, generating huge profile and hundreds of new customers.- Update: Returned to business after 1 year sabbatical, working in the Editorial Department, writing travel guides for worldwide destinations.
