My name is William Leinweber, and I am a first-year student in the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. I am majoring in Accounting with interests in the minors of Data Science and Business Analytics. I am actively involved in multiple organizations on campus such as the Student Accounting Society, Hutton Honors Council Association, and the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Club.My experiences as an Army brat helped me understand and develop the skills of persistence, integrity, and collaboration. After living in six different states growing up (Indiana being the sixth), I chose to attend Indiana University for its prestige in business academia as well as its proximity to my home. I strive for accountability and honesty within myself and my peers to create relationships that will last and grow with time.I am strongly grounded by my personal values and creating a supportive environment for all to learn and express their ideas. I thrive in situations where stress is high, and the pressure is on me to accomplish a goal within a short amount of time. My personal values, skills, and interests such as teamwork, problem-solving, and facilitative leadership can assist organizations who are looking for an individual who will align with a company’s mission and focus on total stakeholder return. My short-term goals are to gain a superior understanding of the business world as well as to explore different opportunities granted to me to diversify my experiences and network with numerous individuals. My long-term goals are to work with an organization that will allow me to utilize my learned skills to the best of my ability whilst letting me prove my value to establish a mutually beneficial relationship.
