Work part of a small team of individuals that assist customers with their shipping inquiries on a day to day basis. My work here is completed using a POS system as well as a center management system which allow us to create shipping labels for customers packages. On top of this I ensure all packages are properly packaged before they are sent out. Other responsibilities I have include the notarization of customer documents, assisting customers with the creation of print orders utilizing Microsoft Word and Publisher, and assisting customers and fellow colleagues with troubleshooting.

Worked with a team of three other students at Grand Canyon University on our summer capstone project which was an Android application called VerifyMe. This application was created with the idea that it could be used within bars, nightclubs, concerts, and other event types as a means for staff of these organizations to verify whether a customer of their establishment was of age to enter. Along with this VerifyMe would allow staff to report incidents, look up previous customers, and record data about their customers. The main end goal of our product was to have an application that would meet our main requirements of scanning, recording, and looking up user information.Throughout the project we all had our own designated roles, my own was lead software developer of the front, backend, database, and API functionality. After our team came up with what information would need to be stored for the application to function properly, I began work on an ERD that would display relationships between tables in the database and then created a script to create and populate it. For this task I utilized Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and then once our database was fully operational I uploaded it to Azure's Cloud Database. Following this task I created our API that would allow communication between the Android app and our database, for the creation of this I utilized Visual Studio and programmed it entirely in C# .NET Framework. Once testing was complete it was also uploaded to Azure. The next step was the creation of our frontend UI which was created within Android Studio using XML, this would allow me to see that data was being pulled later on during backend development. The backend development was completed using Java and I mainly worked on integration of functions that would pull and display data from the database, as well as troubleshoot issues other teammates were experiencing.

Utilizing a standing forklift I unloaded products off of depot trucks that arrived atour store location along with loaded them with empty pallets that we no longer needed. On top of this I would drop and hang pallets of product for stockers to refill for our members during both open and closed hours while ensuring that safety was of the utmost priority. During opening hours I would train stockers on the best practices for product movements to ensure higher department sales. During closed hours along with utilizing a forklift to drop products for the stockers to put out I would also use our Electronic Pallet Jack (EPJ) to bring all unloaded product from the trucks our onto the store front to be stocked and hung early the next morning.

Provide excellent customer service throughout the store also while unloading and loading members carts while they are checking out. Ensure that members have carts by bringing in used carts from outside in the parking lot. While being outside pushing carts, I also help members with loading bigger and bulkier items into their vehicles. When the store closes at the end of the night I make sure that areas of the store are ready for the stockers that come in the morning and also make sure that the store is clean for when we open.

Worked with non-profit companies, Appleton Area School District, and City of Appleton on multiple projects, logos, poster designs, and also presentations. Many projects involved doing research on different companies along with programs to create graphics for any projects I was working on. Through this internship I became proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite. I also learned the value of teamwork along with how to have good communication skills in a team environment. Many projects done through the internship were client projects given to the team by non-profit organizations, they were given to us with a project proposal that stated the tasks that needed to be done along with the times these tasks needed to be done by.
