Control Plane Capacity (CPC):Inside of AWS, there are multiple bulkheads/networks created for failure/vulnerability isolation. A highly controlled network called the "substrate" is dedicated for AWS service backends. This team managed the lifetimes/leases of server capacity in this network, along with supporting services/concepts to prevent circular dependencies (We provide capacity to the underlying EC2 services that support the calls we use - Chicken and Egg problem).Led many agile ceremonies, raised the bar on CRs, mentored interns (one per year), led many of the team learner sessions, and worked to standardize things where possible (alarming/metrics/naming). Worked on technical optimization problems for caching our processes.Migration Experience (MX):After the CPC Team was transitioned to Dublin, Ireland, was moved to the team responsible for reacting to and actioning maintenance on EC2 instances. The domain itself was event-driven, based off of metrics we gathered around health of instances (pings, timeouts, other anomalies), and took remedial actions such as automatically rebooting/migrating customer instances, and/or scheduling more intrusive actions which require customer notifications.Led many agile ceremonies (transitioned team from Kanban to Scrum), mentored in Scrum methodology, mentored interns (one per year), worked to improve our CI/CD process and monitoring/alarming, and tried pushing back against timelines in order to focus on automation/stability.

Orca Team:Developed internal tool for data entry team in remote location (NJ), comprised of a Vue frontend which connected to an API deployed into AWS via LightSail, with SQL Server datastore. Worked directly with data entry team (daily calls) to help improve experience and ease of use.Contributions: After identifying a scaling issue in the SQL Server table schema, personally re-wrote the database to more effectively offload history to a diff-based strategy (instead of saving every new version as a new row). Wrote SQL migration script which was reviewed directly with DBA and executed in production.

Public Maintenance Management (PMM):Back-office inventory/work order management solution used by governments in order to manage/track preventative maintenance for public assets. Full-stack development for an N-Tier on-prem stack. Small team, and eventual sole maintainer of project ($1MM/yr revenue).EnerGov Search:Headless, event-driven service responding to events generated from updating items in SQL Server (trigger based), which would then hydrate the record and index into ElasticSearch for query/retrieval by other microservices. Worked directly with numerous other teams for release support/technical support, with eventual plans to move cloud-native (Azure).

My responsibilities included working collaboratively with other team members in order to effectively plan and execute large-scale software and hardware upgrades across the building's network.I was responsible for maintaining the company's Active Directory profiles, Group membership (including creating/maintaining and organizational hierarchy for rapid deployment of policies/upgrades of managed software), and domain policy for users and machines. I was responsible for automated deployment/upgrades of software suites and creating/maintaining custom installers for legacy applications, using a combination of Dell KACE and domain policy deployed through a series of self-developed test environments, domains, and using scheduled release dates.I also developed certain useful scripts which were deployed across the entire network, including dynamic desktop shortcuts for the company's internal helpdesk request form, and reports based on machine license compliance based on registry queries.
