Report to a R&D Manager, collaborate with a team of about 15 Engineers and 25 Engineering CAD Technicians. My activities include but are not limited to doing CAD drafting activities. Some my activities will fall into the "individual contributor" category, but in general a collaborative approach accomplished with a team of Engineers, other Engineering CAD Technicians and Testing Technicians. My activities will include:• Preparing, editing and creating engine component and assembly drawings and models for approval. • Working on models, fitting check of prototype or new parts.• Preparing engineering change orders (ECOs) to change engine structures and components as warranted per internal/external customer request.• Researching, collecting data and/or making mathematical calculations to recommend or make design changes to engine or component parts.• Communicating relevant information between and across departments.• Training others in department as necessary.• Following all company policies and procedures, Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS & EMS), Kawasaki Production System (KPS) and any other legal and compliance regulations that may apply such as OSHA.

Mechanical Designer for Grand Transformers Inc. my duties include supporting Engineering with the mechanical aspect of product design. Emphasizing toward satisfying customer requirements for high quality, timely, and competitive product designs to specification in coordination with the Electrical Engineers. My skill requirements also include: 1. Generate 2D/3D CAD models and drawings to customers, vendors and manufacturing as required by Engineering and/or Sales. 2. Implement mechanical changes of product as specified by the customer and/or manufacturing. 3. Support Engineering with completing ECN's that involve 3D CAD files. 4. Support the shop floor with jigs and fixtures as needed. 5. Work directly with customers and vendors related to mechanical and CAD designs. 6. Record mechanical measurements of prototype products that are then provided to the customer in First Article Inspections report.

Develop designs for new products and revise designs for existing products, meet established quality and performance standards, by applying basic engineering principles under moderate supervision. Document, or oversee documentation of, new or revised design. Analyze designs for proper form, fit, and function, including basic manufacturability, assembly, disassembly, and use, using design software, to ensure design and documentation of new and existing products meet established quality and performance standards. Research materials, common or generic parts, and engineering standards for designs, using catalogs, reference books, or other product drawings to provide complex ideas or requirements as presented by engineer, needs statement, or project team. Prepare engineering documentation, including Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Bills of Material (BOMs), parts lists, engineering specifications, and other supporting forms to maintain clear project documentation.Software used: Pro-E, PDM-link, SAP, AMAP

As a Detailer/Drafter, my duties included working with the engineering department to create working drawings from 3D parts and assemblies models created with Solidworks and Autocad software, for machinists and fabricators. My other responsibilities included:- Provide bill of materials and parts lists that allow materials to be purchased from various vendors- Assist in layout and measurement of new equipment- Organize and update drawing files and parts lists as needed- Research new products or equipment for material processing e.g. conveyor belts, eddy finders- Update and manage cad files using PDM associated with Solidworks- Used Mainsaver data base software for organizing project information and purchase request orders

As a detailer/drafter my responsibilities were to updated existing assembly drawings and detail drawings, update bill of materials lists on drawings, develop new model drawings and detail drawings, etc. using cad software Solidworks and AutoCAD.Other duties included inspecting and dis-assembly of machinery for correct measurements using calipers and micrometers so that measurements on part drawings were accurate.

Responsible for preparing fabrication drawings of tubular pole structures and related hardware using AutoCAD software.Other Responsibilities•Prepare drawings on a computer system under minimum supervision, working from verbal and written instruction, marked prints, sketches and engineering design calculations•Discuss project requirements directly with persons for whom the work is being done•Work with fabrication facilities to resolve any problems that may arise during fabrication•Perform other duties and accept responsibilities to ensure the overall success of the department
