Previously worked as a mechanical drafter for 5 years in oil and gas but after the oil downturn, I started shifting my career towards software development. I saw a growing demand in the IT sector, so for 5 months I was in a Java bootcamp and then I took Introduction to Python Programming at SAIT. Right after, I was one of 44 selected out of over 1000 applicants to join Edge Up 2.0, a competitive and federally funded program that allows me to learn AWS Cloud Computing at Mount Royal University.Currently I am working at Amazon while studying AWS Cloud Computing. I have been working there since August 2018. I first started as one of their primary problem solvers where I would fixed everyday issues in the fulfilment centre, then after 1 year I was promoted to Process Assistant (supervisor) and continued to further develop my skills and experiences.With all of my past skills, experiences and a strong technical aptitude, this is what I can bring to any organization:- Ability to learn quickly and adapt into any workplace environment- Strong problem solving skills, able to work independently and research to find the best path forward- A team player who is positive, friendly, dependable, help others when needed and earns the trust of others- Have great attention to detail- Capable of leading a team where everyone is treated equally and fairly.
