It is so hard to believe that 19 and a half years have gone by that fast. I have worked with some amazing people from upper management down. I was taken underwings early on and it allowed me to grow in knowledge fast and move up fast. My forte was local, mostly VQA. I was taken underwings early on and it allowed me to grow in knowledge fast and move up fast. My forte was local, mostly VQA. I was very successful at a flagship store that became number 1 in the province for VQA in its Vintages section. In 2017 I was moved kicking and screaming to a much smaller store. Thanks to the manager who allowed me to work the Vintages section in my own way. I increased Vintages sales and made that smaller Vintages section a top 10 VQA store in the Province and #1 in VQA Rose. As I said I was allowed to be creative and I was backed up in that by higher management as well. I do have concern that in my last month I was told there can be no more creative practices and all my best practices had to be removed. Customers noticed right away and commented. It did leave a bit of a sour taste in my mouth, but not enough to undo all I enjoyed in my tenue. I did get to do many great things that were very enjoyable out side of the store. I will miss the people and the job. I wish them all the best and thank them for helping make my time there a great joy. PS The sorry to see you go from customers was amazing and overwhelming. Many showed their appreciation in tangible ways. The staff also overwhelmed me with their going away gift. It feels good to know I made a bit of a difference.
