My work focuses on the prevention and punishment of brand counterfeits in emerging market countries. I am an attorney, but I tend to focus more on finding business-oriented rather than legal-oriented solutions. I am also primarily interested in the protection of non-luxury physical goods. In my current position I have been fortunate to travel to over 55 foreign countries to work with local distributors, attorneys, and investigators in devising specific solutions to the unique challenges offered in those countries. For volunteer work I have been involved with the anti-human trafficking movement for over a decade. I am also working to find ways to use the lessons learned in 20 years of brand protection to help secure the medical supply chain in the developing world.
