Responsible for troubleshooting interfaces to information systems developed by or supported by OCHIN. This role will shadow more senior team members throughout the design, development, and implementation of interface projects and assist team mates with testing and other work as needed. As the Interface Apprentice becomes more proficient in the OCHIN system, I will aid in performing first level support duties. This role will track into other opportunities within in the interface team.

• Setup Interfaces in Epic Bridges and Cloverleaf. This includes adding interfaces to Epic/Cloverleaf, adding profile variables, extensions, and tables to Epic, adding Tcl scripts, IP/Port information, Xlates, and tables to Cloverleaf threads.• Some interfaces to note that I’ve been involved with are Surescripts, Tennessee Hospital Association, State of TN and VA (ELR, Syndromic Surveillance, and Immunizations), and Athena.• Work with several application teams to troubleshoot, test, and work out any issues that arise.• Work on multiple projects at a time and have been involved with several successful go-lives and upgrades. Some to note are upgrading 3M from R1 to R2, upgrading Surecripts to EPCS, upgrading HPF to HPF OneContent, successful multi-state ambulatory Epic go-live and support (Dec 2013), successful multi-state inpatient Epic go-live and support for seven hospitals (March 2014), Epic upgrades of Epic 2014 and Epic 2015.

• First contact technical support for all of Wellmont’s users (7 hospitals, dozens of physician practices). Assisted users with all possible issues from workflow (How to chart, place/cancel orders, transfer patients, etc.) to IT issues (network troubleshooting, reports not generating, patients not crossing over, etc).
