William McDonough joins the management team at Snapchef as the Recruiting Director with years of experience as a chef in a variety of food service arenas. William attended Culinary School in CA after spending most of his adolescence in El Salvador. What makes Will’s story unique, is that he has been part of the Snapchef family from the early years. Will stumbled upon Snapchef when he relocated to Boston in 2005. He walked into their doors wide eyed and eager to make an impact within the organization.Will helped the growing company in any capacity he could; office work, working at locations or building our client base. At the time he was with the organization, he was the only one who had extensive pastry experience. The Westin Copley was in need of a pastry chef and Will was quick to raise his hand for the assignment. Little did he know, his offer to help the Westin Copley would turn into a seven plus year assignment for William. After William's time at the Westin Copley, he held two other positions as executive chef for Cafe Bistro and Entertainment Cruises before finally returning back to Snapchef after 10 years. William came back to Snapchef because he was excited about the growth of the organization and was looking for work life balance. "Life as a chef is challenging and the days are long not always allowing me to spend time with my family. I want to be present to see my son grow up. My passion for Culinary Arts will always be there, leaving me certain I will be in whites again" Will decided to take his natural ability to connect with people and the gift of being a former “Snapchef” to pursue a new career as Director of Recruiting. Will is able to share about his experience with the company in an authentic manner that leaves his orientations well attended. William still gets plenty of time in the kitchen when he is home entertaining his family and at the Snapchef headquarters assisting with culinary training.
