My responsibilities included the bottom line... and overall management of product development, product presentation, hiring and training of a staff of nearly 50 and also some 8,000 international affiliates. This is a bottom line position, responsible for the success or failure of our business venture. We grew this business from a start-up to over 60 million dollars in annual revenues.

At GE Mortgage, I managed a staff of 8 and was instrumental in growing market share by over 400%. We went from a third tier mortgage insurance provider, to the premier provider nationwide. Our executives were invited to give testimony to Congress and became the prime spokespeople for our industry. We became one of the greatest providers of revenue and profits to GE Capital and therefore to GE itself. Also assisted in the acquisition of a major national mortgage servicer to grow our employee base to over 4,000.

AMIC had no formal training structures in place when I arrived. I personally visited all sales regions across the country and conducted training seminars and was charged with evaluating regional management in the process. I conducted a training needs analysis and subsequently developed a training curriculum to meet these needs. I created a training "university" within our home office and began cycling managers and sales people through this facility for ongoing training. I created and managed an incentive trip program called the Summit Club, to incent and reward excellent performance, not just in sales, but in our branch office operations as well. We held these trips in New York City, New Orleans, San Francisco, Bermuda, and Hawaii as well as buying out the ship, Club Med One for a week long cruise. Turnover was drastically reduced, sales increased, and employee satisfaction was never higher.

The creation and operation of a new company branch in Houston, TX. Responsible for sales and profits from this office. Managed company sales activities with major oil and gas producers and other international corporations based in Houston. Traveled to France, Germany, and England to personally conduct management and sales training seminars for Houston based multi nationals with employees throughout Europe and the Mid East. Awarded several reward trips for annual profit performance.
