Key Responsibilities: • Performing audit planning procedures, encompassing tailoring the audit approach to the client which included budgeting, independence evaluations as well as preliminary analytics and assessment of significant audit risks to determine approach on testing of financial statement lines • Documenting and testing systems and processes used by the client • Use of substantive procedures and controls testing to document the audit of key risk areas and addressing review… Show more Key Responsibilities: • Performing audit planning procedures, encompassing tailoring the audit approach to the client which included budgeting, independence evaluations as well as preliminary analytics and assessment of significant audit risks to determine approach on testing of financial statement lines • Documenting and testing systems and processes used by the client • Use of substantive procedures and controls testing to document the audit of key risk areas and addressing review comments • Management and training of junior staff to ensure timely, accurate completion of fieldwork • Representing the firm at the client by being the most senior audit team member on site, directly liaising with senior management • Appraising junior staff to provide constructive feedback and development points • Liaising with finance staff at clients to ensure all necessary audit information is obtained and understood• Preparation of recommendation reports to be sent to the board identifying audit issues and control weaknesses and consulting on improvements Show less
