Currently working as a researcher at NorthShore’s department of Surgery-Trauma and Acute care. Competed nationally in the 400m placing 13th in the nation and chosen as a COSIDA academic-all American in may 2023. Earned two APEX fellowships in 2020 and 2021 to work in the lab group of Dr. Amiel Rosenkranz doing bioinformatics research quantifying microglia morphology, fluorescence, and fiber photometry reading using ImageJ and MATLAB. Experience working as an undergraduate research assistant, and teaching assistant for Dr. Ryan Arvidson at The College of Wooster. Research with Dr. Ryan Arvidson worked on identifying responses of receptors in the central nervous system of Periplaneta Americana and work was presented at mGluRs and SfN conferences. Has succeeded in track and field winning five conference championships for the 400m, holding five school records, earning male sprint athlete of the year, twice, and being conference champion 5 times in the 400m. Great interpersonal skills and a strong desire to help improve the world with the skills that are learned through experience and research.
