I have over 20 years of experience managing discretionary investment-grade fixed-income portfolios with active foreign exchange overlays. As the Chief Investment Officer, I had responsibility for setting asset allocation strategy, and setting up and leading risk committees and investment committees.Throughout my career, I have built businesses from scratch leading the strategic decision-making for platform, sales, and portfolio management. I have also led companies through integration strategies and implemented technology and process changes and continuously looked for opportunities to enhance efficiency.I have worked with, and for, some of the largest asset managers across the full range of asset classes. Within each of these roles, I have been at the forefront of adopting ESG principles into strategies and looking for ways to improve product offerings to gain greater adoption throughout the platform.Additionally, I have actively participated in diversity councils at each organisation and advocated for environmental schemes to be implemented.In 2020 I took some time out to travel with my wife, unfortunately, due to COVID this was cut very short. Instead, I used the opportunity to provide consulting services, helping businesses become more environmentally and socially friendly.
