Working independent and with survey team within Geomatics department part time, started with 6- month full time detail, performing Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) mission planning, piloting, data processing, training, and records management. Review site conditions, weather forecasts, and perform airspace analysis and flight planning to develop mission plans for photo and video acquisition used in photogrammetry, stockpile quantities, construction progress, and infrastructure inspection. I have a solid understanding of drone functionality and construction and the ability to perform routine maintenance and identify equipment in need of repair or replacement. I update and maintain maintenance records and maintain inventory of UAS components and support equipment including length of service. Maintain department pilot records and perform training on multirotor UAVs. Also have training on use of Trimble UX5 fixed wing UAS. Senior Designer on a Highway Design Team. Work involves responsibility for the most complex and advanced assignments relative to the design of roadways, parking lots, and pedestrian areas. This includes the design from the project scoping stage through preparation and completion of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) packages for construction under a wide variety of terrain conditions, including rugged mountains and arid lands in the states of Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, including Denali, Yellowstone, and Glacier National Parks. Work requires the application of technical expertise in highway design to address various context sensitive concerns with the project, including safety, economics, environmental issues, and impacts to local landowners.
