Responsibilities:• Manage systems administrators that are responsibility for the Internet facing WebMD Health Services Production, UAT environments and internal development systems. • System architecture including high availability, scalability, performance and meet customer SLA’s for the WebMD Health Services web sites and services. • Coordinating projects schedules with Product Development and Client Delivery organizations to prioritize delivering new products, custom customer support implementations and Systems Infrastructure maintenance and upgrades. • Budgeting for capital and operational expenditures related to infrastructure, software and contract labor. • Work with the Chief Security officer to author and implement IT policies and procedures that meet HIPPA compliance, such as hardware disposal, encryption, inventory management and system hardening.• Act as Business Owner in prioritizing planned and unplanned work, collaborate with other business units to identify inefficient workflows and develop self-service processes that maintain accountability and transparency. Accomplishments:• The WebMD Health Services web sites and services consistently maintained an uptime in excess to 99.99% under my leadership. That includes zero downtime for scheduled maintenance and software releases. • Under my leadership the WebMD Health services web sites and services have had numerous SAN replacements, OS and application upgrades and hardware replacements with zero scheduled downtime. • I architected and implemented the Storage Area Network, the VMWare infrastructure and worked with Network Operations on the secure network zones. • I developed standards for the product development and client delivery organizations to meet the rugged and resilient geo-redundant datacenter implementation. • I member of the Leadership team chartered to departmental adoption of Lean IT and Agile processes.
