I am currently working at UNB as a research assistant for Dr. Wendy Monk. Through this role I have been exposed to many different types of field work in the Grand Lake Meadows and am gaining valuable experience in vegetation ID, soil microbiology, and large bodied insect collections. I am also learning better data management and 'R' coding skill by conducting TITAN analysis and helping develop multiple Flow-Temperature-Ecology indices of freshwater health for all of Canada; working primarily with the Canadian Aquatic Biomonitoring Network (CABIN) data among other water temperature and flow data sources.

My main responsibility while working at NCC was to develop both the Freshwater Ecological Classification and Watershed Stress Index for Atlantic Canada

While working at BRWP, an environmental NGO, I mainly cross-referenced various locations with climate change data & literature, in an attempt to provide adaptation recommendations for the watershed.I also helped the water quality technician collect his field samples and I conducted many educational workshops (paddle events) at various community events throughout the watershed.

Perth, Ontario

I was responsible to aid in the implementation of the Love Your Lakes (LYL) program in the Bonnechere River Watershed, which was a shoreline monitoring and restoration initiative for Ontario Lakes. I was a shoreline survey technician, and a restoration technician (tree/shrub planter), but was also the main liaison for the local conservation groups and Lake Associations. I was responsible to organize meetings with our regional partners and participated in the initial database design and management role for the Canadian Wildlife Federation (CWF) database. Nearing the end of my contract I also produced ArcGIS workflows and a in-field manual that the shoreline technician relied upon for shoreline identification(s).
