The Stillwater Consulting Advanced Forestry Training program is a five month full time gamut of field skills and book knowledge specifically designed to allow graduates the ability to enter into a wide variety of forestry sector careers. In addition, it provides certifications required by the majority of forestry jobs as well as adjacent sectors.

The tasks and responsibilities given to me over time have increased every year, from part time summer work to full time during non winter months. Maintaining and building fence lines, both the new electric fence around the owned property as well as a large perimeter fence surrounding the 3000 acre crown grazing license. Off road vehicle use (pickups, quads, side by sides) as well as heavy equipment operation (Backhoe, tractor, skid steers). Planning projects and improvements for the year, as well as time management as we carry out that plan. Utilizing power tools, including chainsaws to clear trees off fences or to open areas of rangeland for grazing. Show less

Varsity level sports are quite demanding, and baseball at TRU is no different. Requirements include being able to commit to a 30 to 40 hour/week on average while managing a full time course load in a university program. The program operates throughout the university year, including winter conditioning.I enjoyed my time on the roster, Ray Chadwick is an amazing head coach and is willing to work with student athletes to help them manage both school work and studies. The physical requirements are demanding and the ability to play outside during any weather conditions is essential. The life skills, work ethic, time management and physical resiliency you develop in a program like this cannot be understated. They have prepared me for the workforce in a variety of roles.
