While in this position I was responsible for working alongside my crew to ensure that the station was kept in a clean manner. I also ensured that the apparatus were all kept clean, inspected and preventative maintenance performed. After calls for service I was responsible for ensuring all required paperwork and documentation was completed in a timely manner. While employed here I continued to focus on developing my training and education. With the training and education I currently have, I became the designated person within my shift that developed and conducted shift trainings.

On a daily basis I maintain the station and all apparatus and equipment, ensuring all of which are in an emergency ready status. Ensure that I maintain a solid understanding of all equipment and how it works, knowledge of my response area and all aspects within it, and response procedures. Also responsible for coordinating fire prevention and public education activities in our jurisdiction. During our transition to our independent department, I assisted in the procedures and operations needed.

Responded to emergency calls relating to anything from acts of nature, medical emergencies, vehicle accidents, structure fires. Maintained all equipment apparatus, and a clean firehouse at all times.
