The contract for HCL to work at AARP was not renewed. Since my position was considered extremely critical, I was offered to be ‘rebadged’ with a new contracting company. My job responsibilities are exactly the same as they were at AARP. AARP still considers me to be an extremely critical resource as I provide leadership and irreplaceable knowledge in relationship to the many membership applications at AARP. My Integrity and professionalism influenced AARP to recommend the upper management to retain my services to insure that all membership applications function properly and correctly account for monies coming from the bank balanced against the memberships generated. This allows AARP to remain financially solvent.

• Full responsibilty for the Remittance Reconciliation (reconcile Bank transactions against memberships generated through aarp.org) application. The various technologies used are C#, ASP.NET, CICS Web Services, Javascript, COBOL, DB2. This application is essential for AARP to keep track of monies coming in to ensure correct tracking of such data to allow AARP to remain financially profitable. • Full responsibility for the Membership Processing Application (KONNEX), which is the front-end to membership processing used by the AARP call center. Knowledge of Powerbuilder, CICS, DB2, mainframe, membership philosophy, and continuous communication with the internal clients allows this application to be accessible 24/7/365. • Full responsibility for production mainframe software migration. This entails communicating with all necessary managers and obtaining necessary signatures, along with verifying all software components. • Implementing and maintaining Endevor, a software change manager, to automate mainframe software development and production migration. Continuous communication with all pertinent IT staff is ensuring the success of this project. • Implemented and currently maintaining a number of client/server, mainframe applications, such as Remittance Reconciliation (RR), AARP Magazine Distribution (MMPO), and Company Organization Gifts (COG). ASP.NET, C#, Javascript, COBOL, DB2, SQL server, CICS Web Services skills was essential for the success of this, along with addressing the questions and concerns of the clients. All implementations were on time and within budget.• Contributing advice in designing methodologies to ‘modernize’ software and hardware, thus gaining operational efficiencies and reduction in technology rework. It is estimated that the ROI will be 50% within 3 years.

Full responsibilty to do Analysis, Programming and Testing for their batch DB2 systems which deals with customer and toy distribution and inventory. This job entails writing new programs, changing old programs, changing/designing DB2 tables and user/system testing. COBOL II, TSO/ISPF, JCL, MVS and DB2 are the software tools used.

Lakewood, California

Full responsibility to do Analysis, Programming and Testing for the Nonconformance System which traces a specific airplane part belonging to the C-17 that has failed to match up to conformance specifications. The path of reporting the nonconformance all the way to actually fixing/replacing the part was tracked. The software used is a vendor package called MAC-PAC, developed by Andersen Consulting, which consists of many Assembly and IMS/DB2 programs. There was occasion to also write a few REXX EXECs to help with some batch processing.

Full responsibilty to do Analysis, Functional Design, Program Specifications, Programming and Testing for an Accounts Payable system using McCormick and Dodge software. Was involved in cleaning up 'bad' data on their DB2 tables. This involved modifying existing programs and writing new ones to satisfy this requirement (batch environment).

Mission Viejo, California

Full responsibility to do Analysis, Functional Design, Program Specifications, Programming and Testing for a System which allows Affiliate Users of Coldwell Banker to access information on Properties currently under their jurisdiction, such as Transferee Information, Listing History, Resale Offer and Counteroffer, Notification of Property Sale and Property Status. This involves 20 CICS/DB2 programs and screens with 4 Batch DB2 reports. Also involved in writing and analyzing a major conversion effort to expand a major key field in all DB2 and VSAM files associated with Coldwell Banker Relocation Process. This involves writing and designing REXX execs, ISPF screens, CICS and DB2 programs. Unit and systems testing is also involved in this.

Performed requirements analysis, systems analysis and design, specification writing, programmer coordination, programming, testing and implementation for numerous systems related to the maintenance and performance of the C-17, T-45, MD-80 and MD-11 airplanes. In the case of the MD-11 and MD-80, documents with such information were sent to the purchasing customers. This involved many IMS DB/DC on-line and batch programs in addition to a number of DB2 and CICS programs.

Senior Programmer Analysis on the PARIS (Planning Aid for Retailers Information System) project. This IBM software package is used to aid retailers in forecasting trends, run their business, keep track of sales and interpret advertising techniques and trends. This package uses IMS DB/DC features.

Maintained and designed IMS DB/DC programs used to process their manufacturing software. Also provided technical support, analysis and programming for various departments. This included teaching classes such as Advanced TSO and IMS dump interpretation. Also recommended purchasing various software products such as TSO/ISPF and ABEND-AID.
